One Track To Rule Them All #22: The Killers – The Man (Jacques Lu Cont Remix)

Jacques Lu Cont. Thin White Duke. Les Rythmes DigitalesMan With Guitar.

We should all praise Stuart Price for his dedication to make pop and rock music better.

As The Killers long-time producer, Stuart Price is the man behind their latest albums and hits, and gratifies us with a remix or two for each album he produces for the Las Vegas band. This one lives up to his reputation and takes the Killers hit straight into the stratosphere.

For more info about Stuart Price and especially his fabulous work for Madonna or his key implication in the French Touch wave at the end of the 90’s, be sure to check out my article about his FabricLive Mix from 2003, which is, in my opinion, one of the very best releases from the London label.

One Track To Rule Them All #19: Double Exposure – My Love Is Free (A Tom Moulton 12″ Mix)

All info on the original EP here. From Salsoul Records, 1976. By Tom Moulton the legendary inventor of the remix, the “long edit”, the man responsible for the dance fever in the late 70’s.

Track heard in and taken from the recent BBC Essential Mix of Denis Sulta, my new favourite DJ from my ever favourite city, Glasgow, which I recommend you go listening now here or here. I can firmly say that this may well be the essential mix of the year. Party time. Good time. The best times are those filled of love. And love is free.

One Track To Rule Them ALL #14: Bicep – Aura

The Belfast boys finally unleash their first album after years of smashing clubs around the world with their productions and remixes. For the duo who started out with a music blog and an outrageously good taste, succes is f*ckin well deserved. Oh, and they make super cool tees as well. Hard work always pays off !

Also check their 2015 Boiler Room live from AVA Festival in their home town of Belfast. Mental !

So so good.
