Hi everyone !
For this first post in more than a year, I have decided to change things a bit. My future posts will be shorter, and more focused on the music rather than the text. From now on, the background of the mix and the artist’s biography will be optional for you to read, and I will structure my posts the following way:
Post # xxx: Title of the post – with a few more words to cover that blank space
After one or two sentences of introduction about the mix/live set/CD/compilation, you will be likely to find the following four paragraphs in the order shown below:
- In short: as this heading says, this paragraph will contain all the info you need to know about the mix. We’re talking “technical specifications” here, so things like the official name of the release, label and date of release, name of the DJ/producer etc. In the case of a live set, the conditions of recording will be mentioned here.
- Recommended Listening Environment: This new feature aims at suggesting you the ideal place and moment for you to enjoy the mix. Whether you are running, driving, partying, or chilling, there is a mix to soundtrack what you are doing. In the future, this category will be at the core of this blog and will become particularly helpful to find the perfect mix at the perfect moment.
- Deeper Listening: This paragraph will focus onto the music that literally forms the mix: tracks descriptions, transitions, effects, etc. So here you will be likely to find the tracklist if any, as well as my global opinion of the mix –which is always very positive; otherwise I do not post about it. When relatively long, this section may be hidden and need you to click on it to reveal itself. It may also contain links to other posts of this blog as well as other websites I find relevant and interesting.
- Deeper Reading: This last section will provide a more or less quick background about the artist behind the mix. Following the same idea as the previous heading, this last column will direct you to other posts of this blog as well as other websites I find relevant and interesting in the context of the mix. Also, when relatively long, this section may be hidden and need you to click on it to reveal itself.
As you see, music is now at the very centre of the post, and your listening pleasure my sole objective.
New posts will come soon so do not wander too far away ! Remember you can subscribe to my blog in order not to miss any future post.
